Art for a dollar

Since the economy has been on so many of your minds, and like someone said... "we have printed WAYYYYYY to much money to get out of this mess!". I thought I would introduce a artist I found on a blog that could make some thing beautiful with it. His name is Scott Campbell a tattoo artist. looking at his tattoos it doesn't look doodlely and more of a fine rendering. I like his typography. Enough with the tattoo on with the dollar art. They are with the stackes of dollar bills and laser envgraved on top. Cool huh? Enjoy!

So I am back.....

Since March my world had turned upside down. My father passing was unexpected and my mom breaking both her wrist two days before my father's death, was just a sign of what was to come. When someone close to you leaves without pain and suddenly, you are left with the feeling of lost and abandonment. I know my dad didn't intend to leave that day and even now during my conversation with friends and strangers, I refer to him in the present tense. Not "was" but "is". I know probably it is not healthy but with strangers I like to pretend my dad is still alive and in a weird way to them he is alive. Alive in my memory. I miss him.

So I thought this artist represents how I felt. Small and horrified the fact that my dad has died. Gone...

I've been feeling like I couldn't say much...

This year started ok but ended to be quite difficult personally. No amount of drugs and hugs take pain away like the kind I have endured this year. I've lost family, friend, trust, and most of all hope and love in someone I truly loved and still find some love. I hope to heal but this to is hard when I have a brain that remembers everything. I've even considered electro-shock therapy to forget this pass year. I'm truly hoping this coming year will bring a better person in me.

W Korea August 2005

I lived in Korea from 1964-1982 so my idea of Korea is totally different from what it is now. I love knowing it's the most modern and hip countries, and the main city of Seoul has transformed to a dynamic metropolitan hub of style and fashion.

James Bond Bone China?

The Porcelain Pistols by Yvonne Lee Schultz (YLS), are replicas of the famous James Bond Walther PPK and it’s sister P99, with friendly permission of Carl Walther Inc. They are hand-painted in the style of classic china motifs. Whether happy strewn flowers, a classic golden rim or the even more traditional blue onion pattern, they will blend harmonically into the perfect table setting, the pride of every house wife. text from site
