I need a hair cut PLEASE!!

Pupsters

OK today my girlfriend sent me this site and I just died from cuteness. Anybody who knows me, knows I have a sick thing about dressing my dog up. It started with a bumble bee outfit for Halloween and now it has gone ....well what can I say...I have become "THAT" person. The folks you snicker at because their dog look so silly it's embarrassing. The sad part is my dog knows he looks silly so to minimize his pain I only do the dressing up at home and Halloween and maybe for guest who are visiting. I love this site and you can look at my lovely dog under the lable "Pocket". Site is called Hipster Puppies

Dick Bruna

Born August 23, 1927, Utrecht, Netherlands is a Dutch author, artist, illustrator and graphic designer.

Bruna is best known for his children books which he authored and illustrated, now numbering over 200. I am loving his innocent and dutch sense of cuteness. Beats Hello Kitty I think. More on Dick Bruna on Wikipedia

Art for a dollar

Since the economy has been on so many of your minds, and like someone said... "we have printed WAYYYYYY to much money to get out of this mess!". I thought I would introduce a artist I found on a blog that could make some thing beautiful with it. His name is Scott Campbell a tattoo artist. looking at his tattoos it doesn't look doodlely and more of a fine rendering. I like his typography. Enough with the tattoo on with the dollar art. They are with the stackes of dollar bills and laser envgraved on top. Cool huh? Enjoy!

So I am back.....

Since March my world had turned upside down. My father passing was unexpected and my mom breaking both her wrist two days before my father's death, was just a sign of what was to come. When someone close to you leaves without pain and suddenly, you are left with the feeling of lost and abandonment. I know my dad didn't intend to leave that day and even now during my conversation with friends and strangers, I refer to him in the present tense. Not "was" but "is". I know probably it is not healthy but with strangers I like to pretend my dad is still alive and in a weird way to them he is alive. Alive in my memory. I miss him.

So I thought this artist represents how I felt. Small and horrified the fact that my dad has died. Gone...
